Frequently Asked Questions This will be a simple technical guide about the operation of our screensavers and as other services are provided, we'll update our FAQ's to accommodate them. Where should I put the Screensaver when I download it? Where should I install the Screensaver? Can I configure the Screensaver once its installed?
Nothing is free, what's the catch? How long does the screensaver work before I have to send you money? This is a ministry outreach, not a commercial venture. There is no catch. Simply download the Screensaver or save the Wallpaper you want. There's never a charge and there's no "trial period". We only ask you to be responsible and not view the Screensavers while driving :-) "Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price." Isaiah 55:1 It isn't required but, if you'd like to say "Thank You" for our efforts or join us in the ministry, we gladly welcome your Contribution.
Where should I put the Screensaver when I download it? That's really up to you. It would be a good idea to choose a destination you can remember or easily access, like a "Downloads" folder. But that's really your preference.
Where should I install the Screensaver? That depends on your Operating System (OS). These Screensavers are created in the Windows OS and the default Screensaver folder is the "Windows" folder. The set-up programs we use will automatically install the Screensaver in "Windows". I can't help you much if you're using a different OS, these are designed to work with Windows. If you can run other "Windows" programming, I suppose it is possible they will work with your OS. But you'll need to change the installation directory in the setup menu to the one your OS uses.
Can I configure the Screensaver once its installed? Yes, you can. But there are a few differences in how much configuration you can do. First, find the shortcut to the Screensaver in the "Programs" list of your "Start Menu". Most are defaulted to a "Breath Of Life Ministries" program folder. Or you can go to the actual .scr(screensaver) in your "Windows" folder. Right click the .scr icon (screensaver) and you will have the option to Test, Configure or Install the Screensaver. Choose configure and, depending on the type of Screensaver you will have several configuration options. With the Animated Screensavers, you can modify the speed and proportion and toggle sound and music off and on. The Slideshow Screensavers have a bit more flexibility regarding effects and music. Some allow the user to modify the music and even add your own playlist. |
